Nadja Hallström grew up in Stockholm during the 80s, in a family with a rich arts tradition.
She began her photography studies at GFU in 2001. Upon completion, she enrolled in Fotoskolan Stockholm, graduating in 2003. Separate from her academic studies, her artwork has been significantly impacted by her time spent living in the U.S.A., Cuba, Germany and in Greece.
Nadja’s work has been part of many exhibitions including a collaboration with Vidvinkel which was shown at the Modern Museum of Art in Stockholm (STUDIO) and at The Center of Photography. Her work has also been shown in exhibitions at the Galleri Kontrast in Stockholm and at The Gowanus Loft in New York.
As a commercial photographer she has worked for a wide range of institutions and a variety of arts cultural establishments. Her photographs have also been published in numerous international and Swedish media including Le Monde (France), IO DONNA (Italy), Daydream Magazine (London), Exberliner (Germany), as well as DN, Ottar, Situation Stockholm, Swedish Film, Modern Psykologi, Rädda Barnen, Filter and many more.
