At the end of 2017, the founders of luxury fashion label, Ubi Sunt, approached our photographer @perzennstrom with a question… Would he be interested in turning their vision into reality at the next Pret-A-Porter, Paris Fashion Week?
The founder and designer duo Aidin Sanati & Moa Wikman wanted to evoke a surveillance camera esthetic on a video wall installation during the busy Pret-a-Porter Fashion Week in Paris. With only 9 weeks to go to the unveiling of their debut women’s collection and numerous other challenges Per nevertheless immediately said yes.
They decided to shoot the lookbook and shoot the video at the same time in Stockholm, just 7 short days the whole project was to be presented to the world in Paris. This, of course, put a lot of pressure on Per since he also had taken on the role as the producer of the project, managing and coordinating suppliers, talent, equipment, logistics and countless other things.
It also meant that the video material that they shot on 10 different video cameras, needed to be edited together and coordinated to be shown on a 9 screen video wall in just 7 days!
There was absolutely no way for Per to simultaneously preview and edit the 9 different feeds, in their proper place on the wall, so he had to trust his pre-visualisation skills for the timing of the material.
